This is not the first time I see this "MYSTERY" Barlow Wadley with a slow tune knob axial fixed to Khz's original knob. The other one was on Ebay, some months ago where there was another on auction. Having no other clues, I was decided that this "slow tuning" knob was only a DIY mods.

But recently I have received from Mr.Giovannino IW1QGR resident here in Italy in Sanremo (many thanks for pictures) some clear pictures about this strange BW set.

He said me that buy this BW from an old american man living in France. This man says to Giovannino that he buy this set AS IS IT from new and have no explanations why this set have a slow tuning knob into it where others ones not.

Some local HAMs, examining the BW says they too that probably this is a real Barlow Inc. rare modification they do on some sets...so, real Barlow Inc. rare mods, DIY or third part (like GILFER) ones?

Anyone have a clue on it?
